Co-Owner, Pitching Specialist
Joseph Camacho
A three-time SWAC Pitcher of the Year and Louisville Slugger All-American, Camacho wrapped up an impressive Division I career with a 36–5 record while also earning recognition as a Dick Howser Award semifinalist.
​
Drafted by the Oakland Athletics, Camacho climbed to Triple-A with the Nashville Sounds and later continued his professional career internationally with the Pericos de Puebla in the Mexican League.
​
Now he puts his experience towards developing athletes in all aspects at Diamond.

Hitting & Fielding Specialist
Jaime "Mito" Munoz
A three-year starting shortstop at Eastlake High School, Mito graduated in 2020 before continuing his career at El Paso Community College.
Through hard work and dedication, Mito was able to fulfill his lifelong dream and went on to play with the Indios de Ciudad Juárez, where he helped capture a championship.
Fueled by a lifelong passion for baseball, Mito now dedicates his career to developing the next generation of athletes and guiding them toward reaching the next level.

Professional Consultant
Julio Valdez
Relief pitcher at Alabama State University from 2013-2016, Julio returned to the Hornets as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2017 season.

The Texas Rangers hired Valdez in 2019 to work as a pitching coach in their minor league system. He was the pitching coach for the ACL Rangers in 2022, Down East Wood Ducks in 2023, Hickory Crawdads in 2024, and Frisco RoughRiders in 2025.

When he is not in season, Julio works as Diamond's professional consultant — helping with pitching mechanical breakdowns and college recruiting.

Pitching & Strength Specialist
Garrett Calderon
Garrett began playing baseball at the age of three. Eastwood High School alumni, he continued his career at El Paso Community College. He then went on to be a pitcher for Newman University.
Now a pitching trainer at Diamond, Garrett is dedicated to sharing the knowledge he’s gained throughout his playing career —whether it’s refining mechanics, teaching pitch grips, or addressing arm care.
His mission is to equip athletes with the tools they need to develop their skills and reach the next level.
